iPhone 17 event scheduled for September 9, according to carrier documents

 A new report says that internal documents held by carriers confirm our earlier prediction that the iPhone 17 event would take place on September 9th. That would mean that pre-orders would be shipped on September 19... Sep. 9 had always appeared probable. We looked at what the past might tell us about the iPhone 17 release date in July. We narrowed it down to the week beginning September 8 on the basis of patterns observed between 2021 and 2024. We noted that the most likely day would be Tuesday. Based on this pattern, we can expect Apple to announce the new iPhone 17 lineup the week of September 8.  It could be that Monday the 8th, or perhaps Tuesday the 9th.  For iPhone launches, Apple typically chooses Tuesdays, but last year chose Monday, probably to avoid the United States.
